I heard you speak at the Beta Club Convention in Montgomery AL. You were awesome! We have 3 children 2 that we had together and we adopted a wonderful little girl in 7/06. I want to be honest to her about her adoption. What are your suggestions or comments about this.

Clayton,
My name is John Kale. I'm sure you don't remember me, but we have met several times. I go to Brad Borders' church (Cornerstone) in Cleveland, NC.
A buddy of mine reads your blog daily and passed the link onto me. He wanted me to check out your "Road Warrior" blogs. I want to say Thank You for taking the time to write these. They are such an encouragement. I believe God has called me to be a road warrior. I have a passion for worshiping out Lord and God has given me a love for music and the ability to lead others through it. I am blown away each time I lead by His faithfulness and His blessings on me. I travel a lot leading worship for a missions organization (Adventures In Missions) for their short term trips, as well as playing for D-nows and other church and para-church events. It is really nice to read practical advice from someone who knows what this life is like. I have only been doing this full time since May, but I can see where your advice really pays off. I look forward to reading the rest of your posts in this series and getting to read your thoughts in the future. I have just started blogging and reading blogs daily. I use it as a way to keep myself focused; I am blessed with friends who have a gift for applying spiritual lessons in their writing.

I know you are a very busy man, but if you have any other advice for a young road warrior, I would love to hear it. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. You are a true inspiration. -John <†><

I so appreciate the not marketing yourself at a time when it's becoming very common and unfortunately popular. We have wrestled this concept. We have always felt the Holy Spirit reminding us of this, that David was in the field being faithful in the seemingly mundane when all the other sons were parading for Samuel in order to be King. It's important to wait on God's timing and anointing. To start ministry in the flesh would require us to continue in the flesh, that's fightening to us. So we are now 30+ with 2 kids and maybe just starting. But it hasn't been wasted time, it has prepared us rather than destroyed us. Everyones race is different. You gotta run your own with integrity before the Lord.

Good stuff CK.
